Sarah, a First Fledgling

Sarah is the last of Talante's first fledglings.  Nearly as old as the patriarch of his clan, Sarah was an ambitious girl who sought esoteric knowledge, using her vampiric powers combined with the effects of the mysterious Jewels to a dangerous end, culminating in the sacrifice of her natural eyesight for the ability to see the future.  Still, though blind, she strangely appears to see better than any of her kind.  To be visited by her can be a blessing ... or a curse.  No matter the outcome, every encounter with her is disconcerting, as she speaks only in mindspeech, with her lips forming the words, that echo in the audience's mind.  Because of this, she has few friends and lives in an undisclosed location for her own protection against Lothos' clan, for whom her talents would be absolutely invaluable.  Aside from her sire, her only other steadfast companion is her paramour, the dhampir Nicholas, with whom she knows her time is limited.  

Because of her short stature and similarity to the child-vampire, Elisa, the two are often mistaken for each other, despite the differences in hair color and body development.
